Being a grown-up means not having to choose between dessert and cocktails… or at least, that’s what it means in my world! If you’re going to have to be responsible for the bills, the housekeeping, and all of the boring stuff that goes along with being an adult, you definitely deserve to indulge in a cocktail float like our new Baileys Coffee Float recipe!
Baileys Coffee Float Recipe
I’m developing a bit of a reputation for adding ice cream to my cocktails – starting with this Root Beer Float Cocktail, then this Apple Pie Cocktail, and even our recent Valentine’s Mudslide.
But when you strike upon a perfect combination – why not try it out in as many different and delicious ways as possible?!
Adding ice cream to your cocktails is not just decadent, it adds a layer of creamy flavor that evolves as you sip and also skips the need for ice which is especially great if you’re entertaining and have run out of ice or think that you might! (I’m a problem solver by nature.)
This drink is best enjoyed with hot coffee but a cold brew coffee would also be delicious – I just love the way the chocolate ice cream melts into the hot black coffee, resulting in an indulgent creamy Baileys coffee float. You can use store-bought or homemade Baileys for this recipe.
You also want to go with a great quality chocolate ice cream – something that is going to really enhance the taste of this coffee float as it melts.
