While one of my favorites is tuna pasta salad and usually a go-to for me, this particular recipe is a great way to use up leftover ham from Easter or Christmas dinner. Can’t beat that!

HAM – You can buy prepackaged diced ham from the grocery store or use leftover ham.
DRESSING – Our dressing is made up of mayonnaise and mustard, however, you can lighten it up using plain greek yogurt.
VEGETABLES – We use a variety of vegetables in this salad. Red onion and sweet pickle relish compliment the ham here. If you’d prefer, you can use chopped dill pickle instead of relish.

SANDWICHES: You can use it to make mini sliders as a party appetizer or as full sized sandwiches for lunch. We love it on bread, croissants, and even Hawaiian rolls!
DIP: Another way to serve it for parties and gatherings is to place it in a bowl (or a lettuce bowl) and serve with crackers or fresh veggies on the side.
SPREAD: This salad is delicious spread atop fresh cucumber slices, or on crackers for a tasty appetizer!

Yes, you can freeze ham salad. To freeze, simply put the ham salad in a freezer-safe container or freezer bag for up to 2 months. You may want to double layer the freezer bag to keep it from getting freezer burnt.

Had some cold shrimp and decided to use shrimp instead of ham. Cut the shrimp into pieces and mixed it all together. It was delicious

Ham salad is do versatile and tasty. I have fixed it this way and loved it, sometimes I divide the mayonnaise and add enough sour cream to fill out and to taste. I LOVE “Amanda’s Cookin”!
