Looking for ways to get everyone to eat more fruit this season? Aside from my peanut butter apple dip, this Cream Cheese Fruit Dip is a really cool way to sneak in lots of it on hot summer days along with some Fruit Pizza! This fruit dip with cream cheese is lightly sweet and a little fluffy, making it the perfect vehicle to complement any summer fruit.
Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Recipe
This cream cheese fruit dip is always a favorite and there are never any leftovers. I’ve learned to make a double batch for barbecues and parties. My favorite thing about this cream cheese fruit dip recipe is that you can reduce or increase the sugar and fat amounts to your liking.
How to make this fruit dip vegan
- You can easily substitute dairy-free cream cheese and dairy-free yogurt. I’ve used coconut milk yogurt and dairy free cream cheese successfully! I did double the powdered sugar in my vegan version, but that’s a personal taste.
- I’m not as fond of vegan cream cheese as I am dairy cream cheese. So start with the regular amount and taste test then adjust from there if needed.
Lower fat fruit dip
I like this dip on the not-too-sweet side, so I use a fraction of the sugar that many fruit dip recipes call for. I’m also all about reducing my fat calorie consumption, which is totally doable for this recipe by substituting less-fat versions of the cream cheese and/or the yogurt. I’ve done both and can hardly tell the difference.
Ingredients you’ll need for cream cheese fruit dip:
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup greek yogurt, plain
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped to medium peaks
Kitchen tools I use for this recipe:
- medium-sized mixing bowl
- electric hand mixer and two beaters
- silicone spatula
- airtight storage container
How to Make Cream Cheese Fruit Dip
- Beat softened cream cheese and greek yogurt together in a bowl using hand mixer on medium speed.
- When necessary, power off the hand mixer and scrape frosting from bowl sides using silicone spatula.

- Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until soft and fluffy.
Kitchen Tips
- If you prefer you can use Cool Whip in place of the heavy cream.

This was a big hit!
I did change it somewhat. 1st I doubled the recipe but I only used a 1/4 cup of powdered sugar, I didn’t want it real thick and I didn’t have almond extract so I used regular vanilla yogurt & I used cool whip. It was Sooo good not to sweet and perfect with the fruit.
Esme says
It needed more powdered sugar!

So good! I didn’t have almond extract so used vanilla instead. Turned out great!
Chris says
Can I leave out the almond extract or is there something you can replace it with if you are allergic
