Why we love this recipe
This smoothie is also adaptable and easy to adjust with different ingredients. You can replace the strawberries with another frozen berry (blackberries are great), throw in a handful of spinach, add a banana, or use orange juice instead of milk. The smoothie of possibilities!
You all know how I love smoothies. And I’m usually throwing all sorts of weird things into smoothies in the name of health, like beets or spinach or cauliflower. But sometimes the simplest flavors are also great, so today we’re whipping up a simple Strawberry Smoothie recipe!

How To Make a Strawberry Smoothie
You’ll notice that I use frozen strawberries in this recipe. I love frozen strawberries for a few reasons. They’re often more affordable, especially when it’s not peak strawberry season. But more importantly, they add frosty thickness to this smoothie without needing to add ice!
Ice tends to make smoothies watery, and never seems to break down all the way in a blender. Using frozen strawberries fixes this problem and keeps the smoothie full of delicious fruity flavor!
So how do you make a strawberry smoothie? You’ll basically just blend everything together until smooth. Taste and add more honey or vanilla to suit your taste, then serve. So easy!

It’s a good recipe, thank you! Like Evelyn, the honey didn’t mix well, so I’ll try warming it up 1st next time, that should work!

New to smoothie making but could I make this the night before or does it need to be made the day of?
Amanda Formaro says
You could but the ingredients will probably separate. You can always just stir it, or if you want it more smoothie-like, throw it in the blender with some ice cubes.

This smoothie was great! The only thing was the strawberries I had were a little tart and the honey didn’t seem to mix well but maybe I should’ve done a different approach with it. I will be making this again!

I have a quick question I really hope you see this can we Substitute the milk for yogurt
Amanda Formaro says
You can, but you will want some sort of liquid. If dairy is the issue, you can use a nut milk. Or if you simply don’t have any, use the yogurt and about 1/4 cup of water. Yogurt alone may make the mixture too thick.

Great I added vanilla protein powder instead of the vanilla.
