Crispy air fryer spinach is made in a snap with only 3 ingredients – spinach, oil, and salt and can be dressed up with either parmesan or your favorite seasoning blend.

Why this recipe works
This crispy air fryer spinach recipe is a satisfying way to get your leafy greens in when you’re craving something salty and crunchy. Drizzle with oil, season with salt (or Cajun seasoning for spice), and pop them in the air fryer. That’s really all there is to it.
You don’t necessarily think “good for you” when you think of chips. But spinach chips, they sort of change the game. Now, we’re adding oil to them and cooking the spinach leaves down which in turn takes away a bit of the nutritional value, but they’re certainly better than fried potato chips in the long haul. They’re crackly, airy, and light. Trust me when I say they’re really easy to snack on.

Ingredient Info and Substitution Suggestions
SPINACH – Regular or baby spinach will work for this recipe. I would not recommend using frozen spinach as it’s far too waterlogged to get that crispy airy texture we’re aiming for. You want your raw spinach to be dry, so if you rinsed it off be sure to pat it dry with a paper towel.
SALT – We suggest using Kosher salt for this recipe. However, it’s very easy to use too much salt with spinach since it cooks down so much. The volume of spinach reduces significantly when it cooks. Start with a small amount of salt, taste it, then adjust to your liking.
SEASONING – There’s a lot of room for customization when it comes to the seasoning you use, just like with regular chips. I’ve made these with Cajun seasoning and french fry seasoning as well. Feel free to play around.

The recipes on this blog are tested with a conventional gas oven and gas stovetop. It’s important to note that some ovens, especially as they age, can cook and bake inconsistently. Using an inexpensive oven thermometer can assure you that your oven is truly heating to the proper temperature. If you use a toaster oven or countertop oven, please keep in mind that they may not distribute heat the same as a conventional full sized oven and you may need to adjust your cooking/baking times. In the case of recipes made with a pressure cooker, air fryer, slow cooker, or other appliance, a link to the appliances we use is listed within each respective recipe. For baking recipes where measurements are given by weight, please note that results may not be the same if cups are used instead, and we can’t guarantee success with that method.
