Bursting with creamy cinnamon butter and sweet honey, this cinnamon honey butter recipe pairs well with almost everything it touches and it’s made with only 4 ingredients and 5 minutes of your time.
Why this recipe works
Our cinnamon honey butter recipe is just like Texas Roadhouse’s cinnamon-infused buttery spread that’s served with their soft dinner rolls before the main course. You know, the ones you fill up on before the dinner plates even have the chance to arrive. It’s just that good.
However, we’ve found that this cinnamon honey butter isn’t only amazing on rolls but also spread onto sliced banana bread, banana muffins, and even pumpkin bread. It’s sweet, creamy, and perfectly spiced with warm cinnamon. Plus, it’ll keep well in your refrigerator for up to a month!

Ingredient Info and Substitution Suggestions
BUTTER – Be sure to allow your unsalted butter to fully soften before beginning. This will make it much easier to mix all the ingredients together leaving you with a creamy spread. Cut the butter into small cubes and allow it to rest at room temperature for around 20 minutes. The smaller you cut the butter into cubes, the quicker it’ll come to room temperature. If the butter isn’t softened to room temperature, you’ll end up with a clumpy mixture.
HONEY – As honey is in the name and gives you the full experience, I much prefer it in this recipe. However, you can substitute the honey with maple syrup if desired.

Frequently Asked Questions & Expert Tips
Store cinnamon honey butter tightly covered or in a mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks. Allow it to come to room temperature when serving to make it easier to spread.
Yes, you can use salted butter in place of unsalted if that’s what you have on hand. It will help cut the sweetness of the spread down a bit. If you want to use unsalted butter but still want to cut the sweetness, add a pinch of salt to the mixture. I would not say this spread is overly sweet at all.
Serving Suggestions
You can serve cinnamon honey butter spread onto muffins, toast, waffles, or quick breads. Or, simply stick to the classic way and smear onto hot, homemade Texas Roadhouse Rolls! It pairs well with both sweet and savory foods. We love this honey butter on anything from cinnamon streusel muffins, to cornbread and thick-cut Texas toast. Enjoy!
