Take a bite out of summer with this watermelon pizza! It’s made with refreshing watermelon wedges that are topped with lightly sweet yogurt cream cheese and sprinkled with fresh fruit.
Why this recipe works
This colorful fruity concoction is a healthy alternative to regular pizza and is rich in vitamins and minerals. It’s similar to our fruit pizza, but uses watermelon as the base.
Watermelon pizza can be served as an appetizer or as a light summer dessert. We like to keep things simple and not overly sweet so the fruit has all the room to shine, so we opted for our cream cheese fruit dip to use as a spread for the watermelon. It’s light, airy, creamy, and makes the best accompaniment for this dish!

TOPPING – There are so many fruit options you can go with here. The ones we chose to top our watermelon wedges with are strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, mandarin oranges, kiwi, and pineapple. Feel free to add or subtract the fruit to your liking.
SPREAD – To let the fruit shine in all their glory, we wanted to keep the “sauce” for the watermelon pizza lightly sweet and complimentary. It’s made with cream cheese, greek yogurt, powdered sugar, almond extract, and whipped cream all folded together.
