A taco seasoned patty loaded with onion, jalapeno, and garlic topped with your favorite fixin’s makes this taco burger a tasty Tex-Mex combo!

Why this recipe works
Taco seasonings and ground beef go hand in hand, which makes this taco burger an obvious choice. There are so many ways you can dress up a taco burger from guacamole to salsa fresca, hot sauce, cheese, and even tortilla chips for crunch.
I think what makes this burger great is the onion, jalapeno, and garlic combo with the seasoned beef patty. The burger itself has tons of flavor, the toppings you choose can only make it better!

BURGER – Please note that the photos show 2 half pound burgers. However, the nutritional information in the recipe card below is based on 4 quarter pound burgers. I like using 85/15 ground beef for our burgers, but 80/20 is also excellent. Both of which will yield juicier, more flavorful patties.
SEASONINGS – Homemade taco seasoning mix is always our go-to, but you can just as easily use pre-packaged seasoning.

Yes, absolutely! You can flash freeze raw taco burger patties on a parchment lined baking sheet. Once solid to the touch, transfer them to an air-tight container or freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months. Allow them to thaw in the refrigerator overnight before cooking. You can also freeze cooked patties, but the texture and quality goes downhill after doing so.

Serving Suggestions
Dress your taco burger with classic taco-themed toppings such as guacamole, salsa fresca (pico de Gallo), tortilla chips, fresh diced tomatoes, lettuce, or onion to name a few. Hot sauce or salsa verde are also excellent options!
