- Unwrap the string cheese.
- Whisk the eggs in a large bowl.
- Place 1 cup of the Italian bread crumbs in a large bowl. In another large bowl, combine the remaining Italian crumbs, the Panko bread crumbs, salt, and pepper, then whisk together.

- Dip the string cheese one at a time. First in the egg wash, then in the Italian breadcrumbs, then egg wash again, then the large bowl with the panko bread crumbs.

- Line air fryer basket with air fryer parchment paper. Place 6 string cheese sticks at a time in the air fryer. The parchment paper prevents the cheese from melting down and through the air fryer grate. Spray the mozzarella sticks with olive oil.

- Bake on air fryer mode at 350F for 2 minutes. Flip the sticks over, spray with olive oil, and air fryer 3 more minutes.
- Serve with marinara sauce or homemade pizza sauce.

Nutrition
The recipes on this blog are tested with a conventional gas oven and gas stovetop. It’s important to note that some ovens, especially as they age, can cook and bake inconsistently. Using an inexpensive oven thermometer can assure you that your oven is truly heating to the proper temperature. If you use a toaster oven or countertop oven, please keep in mind that they may not distribute heat the same as a conventional full sized oven and you may need to adjust your cooking/baking times. In the case of recipes made with a pressure cooker, air fryer, slow cooker, or other appliance, a link to the appliances we use is listed within each respective recipe. For baking recipes where measurements are given by weight, please note that results may not be the same if cups are used instead, and we can’t guarantee success with that method.
