Air fryer green beans couldn’t be easier to make with only 5 ingredients and 20 minutes total. The result? Tender-crisp beans cooked perfectly with hardly any effort!
Why this recipe works
Air fryer green beans take hardly any time at all to come together. A little salt, pepper, olive oil, and minced garlic lend a hand in the flavor department while the mini-convention oven does all the heavy lifting and roasting. Your beans will come out vibrant and tender with a crisp exterior.
You can roast just about any vegetable in the air fryer from air fryer carrots to asparagus and cauliflower. So any time we have the chance to air fry our veggies, we’ll jump at the opportunity. It means we can whip up a side dish with minimal cleanup and even save space in the oven or on the stovetop for the main course.Â

Ingredient Info and Substitution Suggestions
GREEN BEANS – When shopping for fresh green beans, they should be firm but flexible, not soft. When you break a bean it should make a snapping sound.
SEASONING – You can keep it really simple and neutral with green beans. A little minced garlic, salt, and pepper are all they really need. Feel free to optionally add a dash or two of red pepper flakes for a pop of spice or toss them with your favorite blend of seasonings – they would be great with homemade cajun seasoning! For even more flavor, add a couple of tablespoons of soy sauce as we did in our roasted green beans recipe.
