Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza Casserole

This delicious casserole combines the flavors of your favorite pizza with the textures of your favorite pasta. I used rotini pasta because I think the spirals are perfect for grabbing and holding sauce. Ziti would work well too as would mostaccioli. If you aren’t a sausage fan, you can leave it out, but I love sausage and won’t eat pizza without it!

This is a great family meal no matter what age your kids are. Teenagers will especially love having their favorite flavors baked into a casserole. Great for weeknight meals, assemble ahead and then throw in the oven when you get home.

Serve with a fresh salad and some baked bread, or better yet some garlic bread! I’ve always been partial to this One Hour Homemade Bread or this Homemade French Bread. Come to think of it, these Gooey Garlic Cheese Rolls or these Parmesan Garlic Rolls would be perfect with this!

[…] Sausage Pepperoni Pizza Casserole from Amanda’s Cookin’ For those who are less veggie-centric, this meat lovers dish combines sausage and pepperoni, to create a sinful casserole that is perfect for nights when you have no time to cook. Simply prepare ahead of time, heat up when you’re ready for it, and dinner is on your plates in no time at all. With approachable flavors like pasta, pepperoni, tomato sauce and cheese, this should be a winner with the kiddos! If you’re prefer another type of meat, you could experiment with adding ground turkey or hamburger meat. To make vegetarian, simply omit the sausage and pepperoni altogether. […]

Oh my goodness! This was really good. I used low fat ground beef and added taco seasoning. I also sautéed onion and added that. I used a whole jar of tomato pasta sauce, but it was a little dry. I’m not sure if that was equal to the four cups or not, but I’ll definitely use more next time. So yummy!! Thanks for the recipe. :)
