COOKIE – It’s completely up to you whether you’d like to use a homemade chocolate chip cookie dough for this recipe or simply use a store-bought tube of premade dough. You can certainly change up what kind of cookie you use, it doesn’t have to be strictly chocolate chip. Peanut butter cookies or oatmeal cookies would taste just as good!
DECORATION – For the teeth, you’ll use mini marshmallows as well as slivered almonds for the vampire fangs. The frosting will help bind the marshmallows and the almonds to the cookie while giving off a creepy bloodsucking appearance.

- Let the cookies cool on the trays for 10 minutes and then use a thin metal spatula to transfer the cookies to a wire rack to finish cooling.
- Finish cooking the remaining cookie dough the same way.
- Mix together the vanilla frosting, red gel food coloring in a large bowl. Add more red or blue coloring to achieve your desired color.
- Cut each cookie in half. Spread each half with frosting.
- For half of the cookies, arrange 6 mini marshmallows along the curved side, and place 1 mini marshmallow on the straight side. Top with the other frosted cookie halves.
- Place 2 slivered almonds in the teeth for each set of dentures to create fangs. (It helps to dip 1 side of each slivered almond in frosting first to help it stick.)

Made these with snickerdoodle bc they look like flesh. Came out looking great but not tasty. For kids, the chocolate chips would be better…like smores.

Strange, they are very tasty usually! Did yu roll them in sugar as the recipe suggests?

With the addition of your Vampire Sandwich cookie, I now have a large enough variety to give a “You’ve Been Boo’d” tray of goodies to the neighbors. Thanks so much. And keep them coming.
