Creamy dill pickle dip is quick and easy. I mean, it only takes 5 minutes to whip together but the trick to it is to let it have an overnight snooze in the refrigerator to let all the flavors reach their max potential together.
We sneak pickles into everything we can, especially when it comes to party appetizers or side dishes. They complement potato salads, egg salads, ham salads… the list goes on and on! But it’s about time pickles get their very own flavored dip centered entirely around themselves.

DIP – You can substitute the mayonnaise with cream cheese if desired. If you go this route, be sure to let the cream cheese come to room temperature before mixing it as you need it to be soft in order to mix it into a creamy consistency. Sour cream can be substituted with Greek yogurt if needed offering a slightly different flavor profile.
PICKLES – It doesn’t matter whether you use pickle chips, pickle spears, or whole pickles because they will be chopped up – though I would recommend spears or whole pickles over chips so the chopped chunks are a bit thicker for texture purposes. You can use your favorite type of pickle for this recipe. However, this is a dill pickle dip, and added fresh dill weed boosts the flavor even more. You might consider changing up the seasonings if you want to use sweet pickles for example.
