Make a festive Christmas Tree Pull Apart Bread this holiday season. A great addition to your holiday appetizer table, perfect for parties but best eaten warm! You can certainly use jarred marinara or pizza sauce, but I’m partial to my homemade pizza sauce for this recipe.

Kitchen Tips:
- If you line your baking sheet with parchment, you will be able to lift the entire tree bread off the baking sheet and onto a waiting platter or cutting board.
- One cup of sauce is probably plenty, but you can certainly put out more just in case!
How to Make Christmas Tree Pull Apart Bread
Heat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut each cheese stick into 4 pieces to make 32 pieces.
- Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into fourths for a total of 32 biscuit pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.
- Push a piece of cheese into a dough ball, pinch the seams together and then roll into a ball again.
- Place biscuit balls seam side down and next to each other to form a tree shape on the cookie sheet. See photo.
- Melt butter in the microwave then stir in the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush butter mixture over the biscuit balls.
- Bake 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. You can turn the oven to broil and brown the tops for a minute or so if you like.
- Sprinkle the top of the “tree” with fresh parsley and parmesan cheese.
- Warm pizza sauce in the microwave and serve alongside Christmas tree pull apart bread.
If you’ll be hanging out watching a football game during the holidays, this Christmas Tree Pull Apart Bread is the perfect snack to serve!

Expert Tips & FAQs
- Store leftovers in an air-tight container kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. I would not recommend freezing this recipe. Reheat in the oven at 300F or in the air fryer using the reheat function.
- Make Ahead - You can prepare the dough with the cheese stuffed inside an hour or two in advance, but I wouldn't suggest any longer than that. If you plan on bringing this to a get-together, prep it as mentioned above just before leaving or an hour ahead of time, cover with plastic wrap, and bake as directed when you arrive at the gathering. Store the prepped dough balls in the refrigerator if possible until you are ready to bake.

can you make without the cheese inside, not a dairy/cheese lover
Brenda McNulty says
Do these need to be eaten while hot? If I’m taking to a party and eaten an hour later will the cheese harden or can they be eaten when they’re cooled?
Gwen says
Can this be made ahead and frozen
Amanda Formaro says
I haven’t tried that. I would think you could assemble it ahead, but not bake it, and freeze it. Then when you’re ready to cook it, bake at the temp in the recipe, just add 3-5 minutes on to the time.
