Why this recipe works
We love a quick, easy, and flavorful salmon recipe. Honestly, you’ll probably spend more time waiting for the oven to preheat than you will preparing this dill salmon dish.
We’re using both dried and fresh dill for ultimate flavor, then adding in some lemon slices to incorporate even more refreshing taste. Simply coat the filets in olive oil, garlic salt, dried dill, and black pepper then top with fresh dill and lemon slices. Pop in a toasty warm oven for 7-9 minutes until pull-apart flakey and enjoy with a side of roasted green beans for a healthy meal packed with omega-3 fatty acids plus folate and potassium.

Frequently Asked Questions & Expert Tips
The best way to tell when salmon is done cooking is to poke the top of the filet with either your finger or the back side of a fork. If the filet easily flakes where you see the white lines, it’s ready!
Store leftover dill salmon in an air-tight container kept in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. For reheating, it’s best to do so at a low temperature in the oven. I would recommend preheating the oven to 300F, placing the filets on a baking sheet, and reheating for around 10-15 minutes or until warmed through. You don’t want to rush the process of reheating salmon as it can dry out rather quickly.
Serving Suggestions
This dill salmon boasts bold flavors and pairs really well with roasted or steamed veggies such as green beans, carrots, asparagus, cauliflower, or broccoli. Roasted potatoes are also a favorite around here when it comes to salmon sides. You can also opt for a nice crisp dinner salad with lemon or balsamic dressing. Enjoy warm from the oven.
