Fruity and refreshing strawberry sangria takes only 6 ingredients and 15 minutes to prep. This sweet summertime sipper is flavored with moscato, Triple sec, and club soda and is perfect for a crowd!

Why this recipe works
Strawberry sangria, the party drink of all party drinks! It’s fresh, fruity, and sweet with Moscato, Triple sec, and club soda along with strawberries, sliced pears, and lemon wheels. Oh, and it couldn’t be easier to make. The “hardest” part about making sangria is slicing the fruits. Seriously. But it’s worth it for the pretty presentation!
Sangrias are so beautiful and require a lot less prep altogether compared to making individual cocktails for each guest. I always make mine several hours ahead so the flavors can build, and add the club soda later so it’s still bubbly when I serve it.

Ingredient Info and Substitution Suggestions
WINE – Any white wine or moscato can be used, it’s entirely dependent on your flavor preferences. Moscato is sweeter, which we like for this particular drink. White wines such as sauvignon blanc or pinot grigio are crisper and dryer, adding a little more zip to the sangria with a higher alcohol content. Rose is another popular option, and somewhat of a middle ground, as it has a higher alcohol content than moscato yet it’s still sweet and fruity.
LIQUEUR – We add Triple sec, which is a orange flavored liqueur, to our strawberry sangria to complement the strawberry flavor.
SODA – Lemon lime soda can be used in place of the club soda. This gives the sangria a bubbly, fizzy taste. If preferred, you can substitute with sparkling water.
FRUIT – Aside from the obvious (strawberries), we’ve sliced up some pears and lemons to add. This is mainly for looks, though sliced fruit will add a very slight bit of flavor to the sangria (they’ll add more flavor if you prep it ahead of time). You can absolutely substitute with other fruits such as apple, peaches, and/or blueberries.

Frequently Asked Questions & Expert Tips
Yes, absolutely! Sangria is a great option if you’re looking to make a party drink in advance. Prep the drink as you would according to directions, except do not add the club soda until you are ready to serve. That way, the drink stays fizzy. Cover the pitcher and store in the refrigerator up to a day in advance. Although the wine will help slow the browning, the sliced pears may end up with a little bit of color. If preferred, you can wait until the day of to add them!
For a “pinker” color, smash a few of the sliced strawberries and drop them into the bottom of the pitcher first.
Yes, of course. Frozen strawberries can be added straight to the sangria in place of fresh, if preferred.
Your sangria should last for up to 2 days if stored, covered, in the refrigerator.
It really is best to allow sangria time to chill in the refrigerator. Resting and chilling the drink will let the ingredients mingle with the chopped fruits you add, pulling out even more sweetness and flavor. I highly recommend letting it chill for at least 2-4 hours.

Serving Suggestions
Serve your strawberry sangria in a stemless wine glass with ice, if it’s not already chilled. It’s great for barbecues, girls’ night, brunch, book club, you name it! Optionally garnish the rim of your glass with a strawberry and lemon wheel. Hope you love it!

The recipes on this blog are tested with a conventional gas oven and gas stovetop. It’s important to note that some ovens, especially as they age, can cook and bake inconsistently. Using an inexpensive oven thermometer can assure you that your oven is truly heating to the proper temperature. If you use a toaster oven or countertop oven, please keep in mind that they may not distribute heat the same as a conventional full sized oven and you may need to adjust your cooking/baking times. In the case of recipes made with a pressure cooker, air fryer, slow cooker, or other appliance, a link to the appliances we use is listed within each respective recipe. For baking recipes where measurements are given by weight, please note that results may not be the same if cups are used instead, and we can’t guarantee success with that method.
