Frequently Asked Questions
If you don’t have a double boiler you can boil water in a pan with a lid upside down then put a bowl on top of the lid, this will work the same as a double boiler. We prefer this method for melting white chocolate, as white chocolate is notorious for burning in the microwave.
You can put a plate over your double boiler or hot pan to heat it up, then gently press the edges of your spheres to the plate until they are slightly melted. Press the edges together to seal. You can then use your finger to smooth the outside of the edges if you’d like.
We recommend using a bar of white chocolate that you can cut/break up to melt. White chocolate chips would work fine as well. Almond bark and white candy melts also work, but the flavor and consistency of white chocolate work better for placing in hot milk.
These beautiful strawberry white chocolate hot cocoa bombs are the perfect edible gift for Valentine’s Day or to serve as a favor at a baby shower, birthday, or bridal shower! Place them in a cupcake liner and wrap them in a cellophane baggie for gift-giving.
