This quick and easy million dollar dip recipe is creamy, cheesy, and thrown together in 10 minutes. It’s made with only 6 ingredients – mayo, cheddar cheese, bacon, almonds, green onions, and garlic!
Why this recipe works
You might also know million dollar dip as Neiman Marcus Dip. This party dip is packed with a creamy mayo base, savory crumbled bacon, toasted slivered almonds, and cheddar cheese then scooped with a buttery cracker or crisp tortilla chip.
It’s definitely worthy of its name much like its distant relative, million dollar chicken casserole. It’s no wonder it shows up at almost every holiday gathering, potluck, and football party and is devoured before you know it.

Ingredient Info and Substitution Suggestions
BACON – Storebought pre-cooked bacon or bacon bits can be used instead of cooking and crumbling it yourself.
CHEESE – Medium or sharp cheddar cheese is our preference for this dip, however, you can substitute or do half-and-half with Gouda or Swiss if desired. I highly recommend shredding your own cheese as storebought shredded cheese contains anti-caking agents, plus, the texture of freshly grated cheese is softer and delicate, perfect for dipping.
ALMONDS – You do not have to toast the almonds. Toasting the almonds adds crunch and flavor, but many people make their Million Dollar Dip with raw almonds which is still delicious. To toast the almonds, spread them on a sheet pan and roast in the oven for about 5 minutes or until they are golden brown. Remove from the sheet pan immediately or they will continue cooking (and can burn) on the hot sheet pan even if they are out of the oven. Cool toasted almonds completely before mixing in with the other dip ingredients.
