Quick and easy air fryer Oreos are dipped in pancake batter and baked until golden and fluffy. You only need 3 ingredients plus a dusting of powdered sugar!
Why this recipe works
Air fryer Oreos transform a chocolate sandwich cookie into something magical. A warm Oreo cookie center is surrounded by a pillowy soft batter that bakes up beautifully in the air fryer. They’re practically begging for a dusting of powdered sugar just like you would get at the state fair.
However, instead of lugging out the oil and dealing with the clean-up like you typically would for deep fried Oreos, we’re popping them straight into an air fryer basket to puff and bake until golden. Using pancake batter makes the process even easier so lets jump right in.

Ingredient Info and Substitution Suggestions
OREOS – You can use regular or double stuf Oreos in whatever flavor you prefer.
BATTER – We used Kodiak flapjack and waffle mix to make these fried Oreos. If you use a pancake mix other than the Kodiak Flapjack mix, follow the directions on the back of the box (some mixes require the addition of 1 egg – while others don’t)

- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the milk and pancake mix until well combined. The batter should be quite thick, if it appears runny add a tablespoon at a time of pancake mix to reach the desired consistency.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350ºF. Once the air fryer has been preheated, line the bottom of the basket with a square of parchment paper.
- Dip the Oreo cookies into the batter one at a time using a fork. Tap off any excess batter from the fork before putting the Oreo into the air fryer.
- Place the battered-coated Oreos into the air fryer, spacing them one inch apart to allow for proper air flow and even cooking. (I placed 4 Oreos at a time in my basket).
- Cook for 8 minutes or until golden and puffed up.
- Remove the air-fried Oreos from the air fryer and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Dust them with powdered sugar and enjoy them while they are still warm.
