1cuppancake mixI used Kodiak flapjack & waffle mix
¾cupwhole milk
12Oreo sandwich cookies
¼cuppowdered sugarfor garnish
Instructions
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the milk and pancake mix until well combined. The batter should be quite thick, if it appears runny add a tablespoon at a time of pancake mix to reach the desired consistency.
Preheat the air fryer to 350ºF. Once the air fryer has been preheated, line the bottom of the basket with a square of parchment paper.
Dip the Oreo cookies into the batter one at a time, using a fork. Tap off any excess batter from the fork before putting the Oreo into the air fryer.
Place the battered-coated Oreos into the air fryer, spacing them one inch apart to allow for proper air flow and even cooking. (I placed 4 Oreos at a time in my basket).
Cook for 8 minutes or until golden and puffed up.TIP - Because all air fryers are different, it’s a good idea to check the Oreos halfway through cooking so they don’t get too dark.
Remove the air-fried Oreos from the air fryer and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Dust them with powdered sugar and enjoy them while they are still warm.
If you use a pancake mix other than the Kodiak Flapjack mix, follow the directions on the back of the box (some mixes require the addition of 1 egg – while others don’t)
If the batter spreads out and doesn't keep its shape, this is probably because it wasn't thick enough. Your batter must be on the thicker side so it will keep its shape when cooked. It should have the consistency of pudding. Try adding a tablespoon or more of pancake mix to your batter to help thicken it up if needed.
