GREEN BEANS – Fresh green beans are best for this recipe. Frozen green beans aren’t recommended as they’ll be wet when thawed and could produce a soggy green bean fry.
COATING – You’ll dredge your green beans into whisked eggs to create a base that your coating can adhere to. Almond flour, shredded or grated parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper are used for the coating. You can substitute almond flour with regular all-purpose flour if preferred, and feel free to add in some panko breadcrumbs to the mixture if you’d like!

Frequently Asked Questions
We don’t recommend using frozen green beans for this recipe. Frozen green beans when thawed may absorb too much water which may produce a soggy green bean fry. It is best to use fresh green beans from the produce section.
You can substitute the almond flour with regular all-purpose flour if that’s what you have on hand. Other substitutions include whole wheat flour, cashew flour, or coconut flour.
You can store your green bean fries in an airtight container kept in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. When ready to reheat, place green bean fries in the air fryer with a quick spray of oil and air fry for a couple of minutes at 350F.
Crispy, crunchy, tender air fryer green bean fries are the best dinner side or snack. They won’t last long on the table!

This recipe is fabulous used with fresh green beans. My husband is a green bean lover and we were really pleased with this recipe. I left mine a little crunchy and it added to to the taste. I have already cooked these beans twice this week.
