This chicken bacon ranch sandwich combines everything it promises in between two slices of hearty rye bread. Crispy thick-cut bacon, sliced chicken breast, zippy ranch, tomato, cheddar cheese, and lettuce follow suit.
Spread ranch dressing on one side of each slice of bread.
One of one of the slices, layer chicken, cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato.
Place second layer of bread on top.
Notes
I like to make an entire package of bacon and store it in a large ziptop bag in the fridge to use throughout the week. I do this by making it in the oven. Hop on over to our post on how to make bacon in the oven so you don’t have to deal with a bunch of grease cleanup on the side.
Our bread of choice is rye, but you can use your favorite sandwich bread in its place. Sourdough, whole grain, brioche buns, or sturdy white bread are other good choices.
You can easily prepare your sandwich the morning of or even the night before if you're taking it along with you for lunch. The same goes for prepping these for parties. However, I would suggest holding off on adding the ranch until just before enjoying it. Alternatively, you can create a barrier between the bread with the cheese and lettuce so it doesn't get soggy as it sits.
