Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

quart
whole milk
4 cups
1 ¼
cups
granulated sugar
dash of salt

eggs
beaten
1 ½
cups
heavy whipping cream
2
teaspoons
pure vanilla extract
Instructions
Heat milk in a saucepan until small bubbles begin to appear; stir in sugar and salt.
1 quart whole milk,
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar,
dash of salt
Stir about 1/2 cup of the hot milk mixture into the beaten eggs and mix well.

Slowly stir egg mixture into pan and cook over low heat, stirring for about 2 minutes.
Do not boil
.
Stir in heavy whipping cream and let mixture cool. Stir in the vanilla.
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream,
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
Freeze in ice cream machine according to directions.
