Trim any excess fat from steak and cut into bite-sized cubes. Place in a glass or ceramic dish.
1 pound sirloin steak
Whisk all marinade ingredients together in a medium bowl. Pour marinade over the meat cubes and toss to coat. Cover dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2-12 hours.
Heat flat top or skillet over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of oil (1-2 teaspoons) to prep the surface.
Use a few paper towels to toss the marinated meat to remove any excess liquid. Place meat cubes onto flat top or into skillet and allow to sear for several minutes before turning. Cook for several minutes, or until no longer pink.
Heat tortillas on grill or stovetop, just enough to char them.
10 flour or corn tortillas
Fill tortillas with meat and your favorite toppings.
You can use sirloin, skirt, flank, and even ribeye steak for soft tacos. Depending on which way you like to cut your steak can make a difference. If you prefer thin strips, I would suggest opting for skirt or flank steak. For cubed steak, sirloin or ribeye is best.
