Set up your dredging station beginning with 4 medium bowls. In the first bowl add the buttermilk, in the second add the flour, garlic salt, and pepper mixed together, in the third bowl add the whipped egg whites, and in the fourth add the panko.
Drop a few jalapeno strips into the buttermilk and coat well, then add them to the flour bowl covering entirely and shaking off any excess.
Next, place them into the egg whites being sure to coat completely. Lastly, press them firmly in the panko, covering well.
Place fries in the air fryer basket, covering the bottom, and making sure not to overcrowd.
Spray all the fries with nonstick cooking spray, then place the basket into the air fryer.
Set the air fryer to 360F for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, flip the fries using tongs and spray again with nonstick cooking spray. Cook another 5 minutes.
Remove and repeat the process for the next batch of jalapeño fries.
Serve with a side of ranch.
Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in the air fryer to crisp them back up.
