This frosty frozen lemonade recipe is full of bright citrus flavor and blended to perfection in a snap of a finger. It mimics the consistency similar to a slushie, making it super kid-friendly.
6lemonsmedium size, skin on, cut into halves with piths and seeds removed
7cupscold water
1/2cupagave nectaradditional nectar can be added based on sweetness preference
1cupiceoptional
Instructions
Place the lemons and 2 cups of cold water in a blender and blend until smooth. Optionally add ice cubes if you'd like it to be frostier.
Strain into a pitcher through a fine-mesh strainer pushing on the solids to release as much liquid as possible. It’s ok if a little pulp makes it through.
Pour in the agave and taste for sweetness adding more if necessary. Serve chilled over ice.
Notes
You can store your frozen lemonade in a pitcher kept in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or store it in a plastic Ziploc bag kept in the freezer for 2-3 months. When you're ready to sip on some frozen lemonade again, remove it from the freezer and allow to mostly thaw before adding to a glass.
