Incorporating a marinade into your salmon dish is a great way to switch up this mild-flavored fish. It only takes a few minutes to throw together and up to one hour to soak up all the flavors.
To use the marinade, cover fish in marinade and allow to sit in the refrigerator for one hour before cooking.
Notes
This recipe yields 1/2 cup of salmon marinade which is enough for 1 1/2 pounds to 2 pounds of center-cut salmon (or filets). It is listed as 4 servings, you should get 4 filets out of a 1 1/2 pound center-cut salmon.
Double or triple the recipe as needed.
You can use this marinade with just about any kind of cooking method.
For this salmon marinade in particular, we suggest 30 minutes to an hour as it's acid based. Any longer than that and you risk the salmon becoming mushy after breaking down from the acidity.
