Why bake bacon instead of sizzling it in an open pan? Because it's a lot quicker and a way less messy method for making deliciously crispy bacon. So say goodbye to grease splatter all over the countertop and oven grates.
Preheat oven to 400 F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Lay bacon on the baking sheet so they are not touching each other.
If you like, season the bacon with Montreal Steak Seasoning. This is purely optional.
Cook in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, keeping an eye on it and taking it out when it looks done. All ovens vary as do the thickness of bacon slices.
Drain on paper towels.
Notes
We like to season our bacon with different flavored seasonings. We’ve used Montreal Steak Seasoning, a bourbon smokehouse flavored seasoning and many others. Play around and experiment!
When it comes to what kind of bacon you should use, the answer is simply whatever is your favorite. We stuck to classic-cut bacon, but thick-cut works as well. The bake time will depend on the thickness of your bacon slices.
