In a large bowl mix together all ingredients to form a dough.
On a lightly floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll the dough out to ¼- ½ inch thick.
Use a cookie cutter to cut the dough into desired shapes and place onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Cool completely prior to feeding to dogs and storing, enjoy!
Notes
A food processor works great for grinding the cup of rolled oats.
*Peel, cook, and mash the sweet potatoes. Boil in a pot until tender, about 20 minutes.
Any size or shape cookie cutter will work to cut out the dog treats. I prefer a smaller cookie cutter so I get more treats. This recipe will make around 50-60 treats with a small cookie cutter.
A stand mixer with a paddle attachment is a great tool for mixing the dough. I just used my hands to mix it all together really well.
It's important to note that if you are unsure about any allergies your dog may have, begin with feeding them a small portion and watch for any abnormal signs before giving them a whole treat. If you'd like to add a little more flavor, feel free to add a sprinkle of cinnamon to the dough!
