Salsa Fresca

HOW TO MAKE 

Salsa Fresca, also known as pico de gallo, is a delicious dip and taco topping made with fresh tomatoes.

WHAT YOU NEED

tomatoes green onion cilantro leaves garlic ground cumin kosher salt garlic powder black pepper red pepper flakes lime juice

Chop tomatoes and slice scallions and place in a large bowl.

Trim leaves from cilantro and mince. Mince the garlic. Add cilantro and garlic to the bowl.

Add remaining ingredients and stir.

No list of complicated items. Only 10 ingredients and 15 minutes will yield the best pico de gallo ever.

When choosing fresh tomatoes they should be ripe yet firm. If they are too soft, they’ll break down in the salsa, appearing mushy.
