This Peach Mojito is a delicious and fruity twist on a classic rum cocktail – perfect for summer or backyard parties!
Why this recipe works
Mojitos are a minty rum cocktail that originated in Cuba. They traditionally just have rum, sugar, lime, and mint – and are topped off with a splash of club soda or seltzer, as desired. While the original version is delicious, making this peach mojito is one tradition you’ll be glad you broke!
The peach and mint in this rum cocktail recipe work together beautifully, creating a crisp, clean summer drink that is undeniably refreshing. You can also add in a twist of lime for a zesty zing, but it’s not necessary. See our coconut mojito recipe for another twist on this classic summer cocktail.

SUGAR – You can use simple syrup in place of the sugar, and there are even mint simple syrups developed especially for mojitos. Just use half the amount of simple syrup as the sugar called for in this recipe – so for two cocktails, instead of 2 teaspoons of sugar, use 1 teaspoon of simple syrup. Simple syrup is just a boiled down water-sugar mixture and you can easily make it yourself – find our directions for DIY Simple Syrup here.
PEACHES – You can use frozen or fresh peaches to make this peach mojito recipe. I used fresh because they make prettier garnishes – but for frozen, you just need 1/2 cup to make the base recipe, since you likely won’t be using them as garnishes.

Peach mojitos are perfect for sipping on at backyard BBQ’s or summer gatherings. We especially love pairing fruity mojitos up with grilled shrimp or grilled salmon, and if you happen to have extra peaches, throw those on the grill as well to make this grilled peach caprese. I suggest adding a little fresh lime juice too. 1/2 oz per serving, but certainly adjust to your own personal taste. The lime juice acidity balances the sugar nicely, but less is needed than in a ‘regular’ mojito because while the peaches do add some sweetness, they add some acidity as well (but we prefer a little more).

These are so delicious and summery! I used about 3 peaches instead of 4, and substituted honey for the sugar. Also, my kids wanted a piece (or maybe I should say slurp? 😂) of the goodness too so I tried a mocktail for them. I had some peach syrup on hand so I used that in place of the rum, but I’m sure it would be really good with just peaches and club soda. Everyone loved their drinks! Thank you Amanda! Can’t wait to try some of your other fruity drinks!

Yay, so glad everyone loved them! How fun about the mocktails too!

This recipe was kind of tasteless. Sounds great, but… I added extra sugar and a little Triple Sec to make it good. Just wasn’t sweet enough. Maybe a little peach liquor. Healthy drink though…and you can’t taste the rum for those who don’t like the taste of liquor.

Sorry you didn’t enjoy it!

What is a muddler? Is it a mixer?
Amanda Formaro says
Hi Cindy! A muddler is an instrument used to smash ingredients in a cocktail shaker, here’s what it looks like and is also listed in the blog post above https://amzn.to/2NMWmaW
