TWD: Rugelach

Ok yum. Never had these before and they are delicious! I didn’t think I was going to be able to make these today as I was rushed with other things, but I managed to squeeze them in and I’m really glad I did!

I followed the recipe (which can be found on Piggy’s Cooking Journal), though I don’t have a food processor, so my dough had a few spots with visible cream cheese, but I was afraid of overmixing, so I winged it that way. It worked out fine. Had a little trouble rolling a few of them where they felt really wet and sticky, but only on a few.

ANOTHER DELICIOUS IDEA >>  TWD: Toasted-Coconut Custard Tart

For one half of the dough I made Cinnamon Orange Marmalade

– sweet marmalade
– cinnamon chips
– pecans

On the other half of the dough I made Cherry Chocolate, couldn’t really taste the cherry though :-P

– cherry preserves
– semi sweet chocolate chips
– pecans

I’m rushed in this post as I have to run off and do an errand, but wanted to get this up! Check out the other Tuesdays With Dorie participants to see their recipe results!

They look so good! You did a great job with them!!

I’ve missed blogging for the last few days because we are sick again so I have a lot to catch up on. :)

These look crumbly and delicious… I think I could eat rugelach every day. As long as I didn’t have to make it every day. :)

Cherry chocolate – what a great idea. Cherries are hands down my favorite dried fruit. Your rugelaches look delicious.

These look really good. Cherry Chocolate. Yummy!! Maybe add cocoa to it next time for a more chocolately taste. Just a thought.
