It’s Monday, the start of a new week and hopefully another week of avoiding that expensive drive through. I have a couple of favorites on the list this week, like Friday’s tacos and Thursday’s roast. I also have a few new recipes to try. I’ve had Dorie’s new book since it was released, but have yet to try anything from its beautiful pages. So this week I’ll be trying my had at a chicken, a stew and a broccoli side recipe from there. Wednesday’s is new too, so it should be an interesting week! Have you planned your menu?
Monday – Chicken Breast Diable – from Around My French Table page 217, serving with Garlicky Crumb Coated Broccoli, same book page 334
Tuesday – Beef Daube (stew) - from Around My French Table page 244
Wednesday - Macaroni and Cheese with Ham, Peas and Shallots - I have some ham in the freezer and a box of elbow macaroni, so I thought I’d give this recipe a whirl.
Thursday – To Die For Pot Roast - This is an old favorite. So very good and only a few ingredients.
Friday – Something with ground beef - Tacos probably, or maybe sloppy joe.
Saturday – Pasta of some sort, something easy
Sunday – Leftover night

Need something sweet this week? Try this Lemon Rosemary Olive Oil Cake. It’s moist, delicious and full of lemony flavor!

Sounds like good grits at your house this week. I've still never made an olive oil cake but yours looks pretty inviting! Have a great week Amanda!
Amanda, you really have a handle on your week in the kitchen. I can imagine how much easier that will make your busy week. I'm new here and just wanted you to know how much I like the food and recipes you feature here. I'll definitely be back. I hope you have a wonderful day. Blessings…Mary
Mm,I'm seeing lots of lemon this week, must be a sign to make something lemony :) Your plan looks fantastic by the way!
