It’s not what you think. In fact, I’ve never even tried roast duck or any other kind of duck on a plate. No, this post is very out of the ordinary for me. This is such a great tale of survival, beating the odds, and natural instinct, that I had to bring it to you.
A friend and coworker of mine writes a blog called My Muscovy Ducks Tale. It’s the true life story about an ill fated nest of duck eggs without a mama. Animal control told her, even though they would be ready to hatch any day, that the humane thing to do was put the eggs in the freezer then dispose of them. Experts told her they couldn’t survive or learn to swim without their mama.
But Jodi is proving them all wrong. She not only hatched these adorable little babies, they are on their way to learning how to swim too! Some day Jodi would love to turn this into a children’s book, and I say yes! What a great idea!
Jodi’s posts are short, making it an easy read for busy people. If you read all of my long winded posts, then Jodi’s blog will be a breeze for you! Check out the ongoing story, subscribe and follow along with me as we see how the fate of Spentie, Angel and their duckling siblings progresses.
Kudos Jodi for saving this flock of ducklings!

oh this is adorable my grandma loves ducks will forward to her Rebecca
So precious!!
Aw they are so sweet! Thanks for the pictures and link :D Duckies!!
Oh how cute! I would love to follow this story since I am such a sucker for animals! And thank goodness, this was NOT a duck recipe….I think of ducks kind of like pets and not an animal I would want to eat!!!
Awe what a great story Amanda! Thanks for letting us know!
Hope you guys follow along, i think it's such a great thing Jodi's doing with these little guys. Looking forward to seeing them all grown up :)
Blessings to Jodi and the lil duckies!
Thanks for sharing this! What a fun read for Monday morning :) What do experts know, anyway? I found a kitten in the gutter when I was about 13 years old. She was so young her eyes were still closed. No one thought she would live. I bottle fed her and raised her. She lived for almost 15 years. Granted, she did have a few–quirks–from being raised by a human and not a cat (and a human who didn't really know what she was doing). Experts. Bah! :)
Thanks for the link! I've never had duck either, but when we got out, my husband orders it – I just can't stand to even look at it! :D
Happy Monday Amanda!
HOW CUTE!

So adorable! I love the story and the blog, thanks for sharing!
Aw, that would definitely be a story my youngest would love. She's my resident treehugger!
