Lynne of Cafe LynnyLu chose Vanilla Ice Cream from pages 428-429 of Baking From My Home to Yours for this week’s Tuesday With Dorie recipe. I love vanilla ice cream, so even though I just filled both of my freezers with a side of beef, I painstakingly made room for my ice cream maker so I could do this week’s pick! This recipe is very straightforward. It involves making a custard, cooling it, and churning it in your ice cream maker. It’s absolutely delicious. My husband loved it too, and that’s saying a lot, he’s pretty picky about his ice cream. :) We paired it with some Milopitas, a Greek apple pie (more like a cake) and it was sensational!
Not too much more to say, other than I will be making this again and again.
