This week’s recipe was chosen by Beth of Suppilicious. This is a brownie based dessert with a layer of chocolate chip cookie dough on top. These are very tasty, though my brownie bottom seemed a bit dry for my tastes. The cookie didn’t seem to be completely baked in the middle but overall it was pretty well done. They taste good and were pretty easy to put together.
UPDATE: I’m updating this post because I put this together rather hastily last night. I baked them yesterday and was exhausted after a long weekend at the camper. I neglected to mention that I didn’t have enough bittersweet chocolate for the cookie dough, so I used half bittersweet chocolate and the other half I subbed in chocolate toffee chips. Also, I didn’t use nuts in the brownies and THEN when I thought I was pouring in toffee chips into the cookie dough, I poured in walnuts! LOL DUH So I removed as many walnuts as I could, but the cookie part ended up with some in there.
All in all, after sitting overnight, these brownies are truly delicious!

Oh Amanda, looking at your brownies makes me feel bad!!!
First of all I really want a piece like right now and second of all I wonder what I did wrong to end up with my gooey mess…..
Those brownies look wonderful to me. They wouldn’t even last in my house an hour!
It seems that no matter what happened in the baking of this recipe, it still tasted good. Glad you enjoyed!
i’m glad you reevaluated them this morning.. so yummy!
Your brownies look great Amanda! I didn’t make this due to a chocolate hating husband. I don’t think I could be trusted not to eat the whole pan of these. Not something I dare to risk!
They look wonderful and I’m glad to see you enjoyed them. Hope you had a great weekend.
Great looking brownies. I like how your top layer just looks like a crust, mine was just as thick as the brownie and GOOEY. Good, but almost too much. They still got eaten up.
YUM! I think I’m kind of overdosed on chocolate at the moment after making a double chocolate banana bread, but give me a week or so and then I’ll be anxious to try these :) They look great!
Your brownies look delish! I was afraid I’d done something wrong with mine, because I really didn’t get two distinct layers, but my brownies pretty much look like everyone else’s. So I guess we all did okay!
Even when tired, you manage to make something truly delicious! They look perfect! Great job!
Hi Amanda how have you been?
It can’t get better than this…cookies and brownies…AAAH!!

I’m so glad that yours baked through.

yeah, maybe i could taste the rice flour “grittiness” a little more because the brownies were a tad dry?!?! like you said, they were still delicious :)
that bananas foster looks incredible!

I made mine late at night, so I didn’t have a chance to evaluate them before the morning…sounds like that was a good thing, because I loved them the next day!
Your brownies looks wonderful. I sure could go for one right now!
Wow, your brownies turned out really well and it doesn’t seem like you had any problems cutting them into pieces! The toffee chips sounds like a good addition too!
I’m glad you found these tastier the next day!

Your chipster brownies look wonderful.
I agree, so much better the next day
They look great to me!
Your brownies look delish, and it’s good to know they benefit from waiting around a day or so.
Another super delicious post.. I do have fun in browsing your blog
Yum, yours look great!
I’m glad you enjoyed these! Seems to be quite a divisive recipe so it’s nice to see that it worked out for you.
They look yummy. I think the key was letting them sit a while.
LOL, baking while overly tired or rushed is asking for trouble. :)
