If you’re looking for a sugar high, this is it! These are definitely NOT for someone on a diet, and if you don’t like sweet… well you know the rest. These make my teeth hurt just looking at the photos, but they really are delicious.
Again, this is made with a boxed cake mix like the Homemade Hostess Cupcakes I did last week. Only this time instead of poking holes, I used a steak knife and cut a circle out of the top of the cupcake. Remove the circle and pushed the bottom of the cake with my finger to squish it down a bit.
Then I filled the cupcake, trimmed that top piece and put it back on. I made a glaze from confectioners’ sugar and a little milk and put that on top. I was trying to make a frosting that would hold up in a sack lunch. I don’t think I’m there yet. Well I’m not really sure because they were all eaten before I could pack them in lunches LOL
So anyway, you can get the filling recipe on last week’s Thrifty Thursday post.
They look yummy though don’t they? Do your teeth hurt now? LOL

OMG Girl, you are seriously killing me with all this sticky goodness.
Oh, my goodness. They look yummy!!!
What a fun little surprise in the middle!
Wow this got to be so creamy delicious.
First Hostess Cupcakes, now these look like Twinkies! Yum.
The cream filling looks decadent :)
Thanks, Amanda. I will try to get several recipes done this month. I appreciate the welcome.
Hey, I’m just curious what your connection is to Alicia and Annie. Are they friends of yours?
By the way, this looks awesome!
These look great Amanda, no my teeth aren’t hurting they just want some!!!
My teeth don’t hurt at all as a matter of fact I loved your photos. Makes me wish for one though I admit with a big icy cold glass of milk!
